UPDATE FROM USHAHIDI TEAM

Due to technical circumstances, the earlier scheduled downtime on your deployment has been moved from Tuesday 25th September 2018, to Monday 1st October, 2018. We apologise for the inconvenience and will be in touch with more information as the week goes by. Thanks for your patience.

-----------------

Ushahidi will be conducting scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, 25th of September 2018, starting at 3pm UTC (see your timezone here) and running 4-6 hours. Deployments hosted by Ushahidi will be completely inaccessible to all users for the duration of this migration. We encourage you to pass this information along to any of your users/audiences who may not receive this communication.

Ushahidi’s new pricing plans will go into effect at the end of this maintenance window. If you’re a current Ushahidi user and would like to learn more about how the new pricing plans will affect your deployment, please read on. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch with our support team.

As we detailed in our last post, we are making some changes to the self-service pricing plans for the Ushahidi platform. These changes will be going live between 1 October 2018 and 12 October 2018, and will help improve the clarity and effectiveness of our offerings to our users.

If you are a current Ushahidi user or deployer, you may be wondering how these new plans will affect you. We’ve written this guide as a helpful reference for how the upcoming changes will impact each different type of deployment plan.

Open Source Software deployments will not be affected.

Enterprise Ushahidi deployments will not be affected.

Social Impact License Responder deployments will not be affected in functionality. They will be converted to the new Ushahidi Basic plan, which includes the exact same features and capabilities as the current Responder plan. All fees for Ushahidi Basic will be similarly waived and covered under the Social Impact License agreement, which will remain the same.

Responder deployments will not be affected in functionality. They will be converted to the new Ushahidi Basic plan, which includes the exact same features and capabilities as the current Responder plan.

Surveyor deployments will be upgraded, at no additional cost, to the new Ushahidi Basic plan. Ushahidi Basic includes all of the same features as Surveyor, plus additional features such as unlimited posts and up to 25 admins. Current Surveyor customers will continue to be charged the same price as their current surveyor agreements, but will receive the upgraded Ushahidi Basic product.

Mapper deployments will be converted to the new Ushahidi Demo plan, which has all of the same features. Ushahidi Demo deployments are free, but will expire if they are not upgraded to Ushahidi Basic or an Enterprise Partnership after 30 days. Unless they are upgraded, these deployments will also be limited to a maximum of 25 posts. Once expired, Ushahidi Demo deployments will no longer be available to use, visit, or receive posts, but they can be upgraded by the admin.

If you are currently using Mapper, are interested in continuing to use Ushahidi for free, and are eligible for our Social Impact License, we encourage you to apply for a license here.

Below is an abbreviated summary of each of the new Pricing Plans. This table will be available for reference and signup at www.ushahidi.com/pricing beginning on 25 September 2018.

Best,

Ushahidi Team
